Overview

This project provides for the replacement of a single span through steel plate girder bridge with a two span concrete multi-girder bridge, the replacement of a single span steel bridge with a single span concrete multi-girder bridge, the replacement of a 3’-3” X 14’-6” plate arch with a 6’-0” X 14’-0” precast box culvert, the reconstruction of SR-4033, the reconstruction of a portion of Lyons Run Road, the construction of two new access ramps and the construction of the mainline median and shoulder at the proposed bridge location. Milepost 59.58 is located approximately 2.9 miles east of the Pittsburgh Interchange, Exit 57, and approximately 7.4 miles west of the Irwin Interchange, Exit 67, in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
